AMBER  ROUGH "Old Stock"   (ambar en bruto)

Chiapas honey amber rough specimen for the collector or lapidarist, will make a few excellent cabochons or a great display item, beautiful window showing the layers of amber. This is an older piece of amber - before the 2005 hurricane.

There is no guarantee that this piece or any other rough amber specimen we sell has insects or plant life encased in it's resin, but there is always the chance. The miner's scrutinize each rough specimen with a candle flame to see if there might be fossil insect specimens inside that were trapped in the resins of the trees millions of years ago, in order to fetch a higher price for the rarer select specimens.
